World Cup winner Benedikt Howedes is reportedly open to the idea of joining Liverpool.
The Schalke defender, who lifted the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil with Germany, has dropped a hint that he would like to work with new Reds boss Jurgen Klopp at the Premier League club.
The 27-year-old, who has 32 international caps to his name, has managed to play just 12 minutes of league action so far this season for the Bundesliga outfit.
Howedes admitted, “A move abroad excites me. England would for sure be an interesting destination.
“English football is very fortunate to have someone like Klopp in the league, Liverpool is a club with great tradition and values.”
