Olympic legend Usain Bolt has joked that he is looking forward to starring for Manchester United in the future, via ESPN FC.

The Premier League side, who currently sit sixth in the English top-flight standings following Sunday’s 1-1 draw against West Ham United at Old Trafford, is the Jamaican star’s favourite football club.

Speaking at the world premiere of his movie, ‘I Am Bolt‘, he replied, “Hopefully, not yet,” when asked whether he had been approached by the Red Devils.

“Hopefully he’ll [manager Jose Mourinho] call me and see what’s going on.

“I’m really excited about that.”

The nine-time Olympic champion, who stills holds the record for running 100 metres (9.58 secs) and 200 metres (19.19 secs) the quickest, is already set to train with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund, most likely during pre-season.

Mourinho’s men next face West Ham once more at The Theatre of Dreams on Wednesday night for a place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
