You Me at Six’s Dan Flint would love his beloved Manchester United to sign Antoine Griezmann during the January transfer window.

The drummer, who spoke exclusively to Shoot!, believes Jose Mourinho’s side are not too far away from challenging for the Premier League title, and the Atletico Madrid forward could be the final piece of the puzzle.

When asked who his number one transfer target would be if he were in the ‘Special One’s’ shoes, Flint replied, “I would say Griezmann.

“I know there has been a lot of talk about how much he wants a week, £200,000 or whatever. But just a few weeks ago, we were only winning games like 1-0.

“I think if we had a world-class goalscorer in our side, that would be key.”

He added, “I don’t think we are too far away from having that league winning side.

“So I think maybe one more world-class striker up there, if [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic isn’t working out or we want to change things up a bit – have two up front – I think Griezmann potentially.”

Other than trying to lure the Atletico ace to The Theatre of Dreams this month, the You Me at Six star admitted United don’t need anymore additions and would rather see manager Mourinho turn his attention to his existing squad.

“I still think Mourinho needs to get on board with Luke Shaw,” Flint suggested.

“Because before his leg break, he was looking like he could turn into an absolute world-class player.

“I’d like Mourinho to focus on him and get him back up to full fitness and back to his best.

“I do like Eric Bailly as well. He is at the Africa Cup of Nations at the moment, which isn’t ideal for us.”
