With Danny Rose out for a sustained period of time, and his future at the club far from certain, Pochettino may look to reunite with United defender Luke Shaw this summer.

The 21-year-old has had a torrid time since making a big money move to Old Trafford back in 2014, making just 47 appearances for the Red Devils, and enduring a tough time out with injury in the 2015/16 campaign.

This term has seen him come under intense scrutiny from manager Jose Mourinho, and it just doesn’t look like he has a long-term future in the North West.

And that’s why Pochettino, who worked with Shaw and ultimately made him the player that looked set for a long England career at Southampton, could make a move to try and bring the best out of him at Tottenham.
