3 England stars that could follow Jack Wilshere to Manchester City this summer

Manchester City recorded a fourth straight Premier League victory on Sunday with a comfortable 2-0 success at struggling Sunderland.

Pep Guardiola’s side had beaten West Ham, Swansea, and Bournemouth in prior weeks to just about keep their title hopes alive, and goals from Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane secured the Citizens another three points at the Stadium of Light.

The win meant that they moved up to third in the Premier League table, but Chelsea’s victory at West Ham on Monday means that Guardiola’s men remain 11 points behind the Blues ahead of their clash with Stoke City at the Etihad Stadium this evening (8pm kick-off).

However, despite City still being in title contention, the Champions League, and the FA Cup, speculation is building about who they may look to sign in the summer, and one name that has cropped up is Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, currently on loan at Bournemouth.

Guardiola said earlier this week that he was hoping to get more English players through the door at the Etihad, and it’s been reported that 25-year-old Wilshere is one of those on his radar.
