Prizing Dele Alli away from Tottenham is going to be incredibly tough for any team in Europe, yet City potentially have the financial pulling power to force Spurs’ arm for the 20-year-old.

The England midfielder, who two years ago was helping MK Dons win promotion to the Championship, has once again been in excellent form for Mauricio Pochettino’s men this term, netting 13 goals and laying on three assists in 26 Premier League appearances so far.

Some of his link-up play with Harry Kane has been first-class, and he seems to be developing all the time, which is quite remarkable given that his debut campaign in the top-flight last time round saw score ten goals and provide nine assists.

Unsurprisingly, several top clubs have been linked with Alli, Real Madrid being one of them, but the possibility of playing for Guardiola in an improving City team could be of interest to the midfielder.
