3 huge EFL games to keep an eye on over the coming days

Huddersfield Town vs Reading

It’s third versus fourth in the Championship this evening as David Wagner’s Huddersfield entertain Jaap Stam’s Reading at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The hosts drew 0-0 at home to Premier League title contenders Manchester City on Saturday in what was a committed and spirited display from the Terriers, and their recent form will give them great confidence ahead of their clash with the Royals.

Wagner’s men have won their last five Championship games, two of which were at home to Brighton and Leeds, and have lost just one of their last 13 league matches, which was away at Sheffield Wednesday on January 14.

However, they come up against another promotion hopeful in Reading, who have had an excellent season under Dutchman Stam in his first managerial job.

The Royals are unbeaten in their last six Championship matches, winning four, and beat Huddersfield 1-0 back in September in the reverse fixture at the Madejski Stadium.

With seven away wins in the league this term, Stam’s men will be confident of going to West Yorkshire and getting all three points, but Wagner’s side will have something to say about that in what should be an intriguing encounter at the John Smith’s Stadium tonight.
