3 midfielders Celtic should look to sign in January

Another player who has seen his career stall in recent years, Shaun Maloney may seek a move away from Hull City in January.

The 33-year-old has made just one start in the Premier League for the Tigers this season, and that was in their 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Bournemouth two weeks ago. It was a start that lasted just 55 minutes.

From being an important member of the Wigan team between 2011 and 2015, many expected Maloney to push on and continue making strides in the Premier League. But it just hasn’t happened.

A move north of the border, to perhaps re-join Celtic five years after leaving Celtic Park, may benefit the Scottish international, and provide him with an opportunity to keep his career going.
