Tottenham will be looking to build on last season’s third place finish in the Premier League by challenging for the title once again this time around.

Spurs are the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League having won five and drawn four of their opening nine games, and it’s provided a basis for which to push on as the season progresses.

Pochettino’s men are the only team in the division to have beaten Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and, although they haven’t won their last two league games, they sit fifth in the table, just a point adrift of the leaders City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Tottenham have also started solidly in the Champions League. Despite losing their opening game at home to Monaco, Spurs have beaten CSKA Moscow 1-0 and drawn away at Bayer Leverkusen and, with two home games to come against the latter two sides, Tottenham fans should be confident of progressing to the last 16.

Despite losing to Liverpool in the League Cup on Tuesday, Pochettino’s side will likely be in three competitions come the New Year, and many feel that certain areas of the squad aren’t deep enough to deal with those demands.

Here are THREE midfielders Pochettino should look to bring in during the transfer window…
