Responded brilliantly to Spurs loss

Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Chelsea back on January 4 ended their long winning run in the Premier League, and meant that they missed out on breaking Arsenal’s record of 13 straight league victories.

Conte’s men were outplayed by Mauricio Pochettino’s men at White Hart Lane, and many wondered whether it would have an effect on the Blues over the coming weeks.

Well, it hasn’t.

Since then, they have dispatched of both Peterborough and Brentford in the FA Cup, and beaten Leicester and Hull in the Premier League to seize the authority in the title race once more.

The Diego Costa saga could also have thrown them off, but it hasn’t, and Chelsea have responded brilliantly to that Spurs defeat, and look exactly like the side that won those 13 games in a row.

Tuesday will be a tough test, but they are playing well enough and confidently enough to get the three points at Anfield tomorrow night.
