Second place Liverpool host third place Manchester City as they look to record a fourth successive win in what will be their final game of 2016.

Jurgen Klopp’s side came from behind to beat Stoke 4-1 at Anfield on Boxing Day, and the Reds will be hoping to keep up their excellent record at home when Pep Guardiola’s side visit this evening.

Liverpool haven’t lost at Anfield in the Premier League since January 17, and since then have won ten of their 16 matches, which includes the 3-0 success over City back in March.

However, they come up against a City side that are steadily improving under Guardiola, and they also will seek a fourth consecutive win at Anfield this evening.

The Citizens left it late to see off Hull 3-0 on Boxing Day, and alongside a 2-1 victory over Arsenal just before Christmas, they will be confident of ending a 13-year wait for a league win at Anfield.
