3 reasons why Manchester United will win the League Cup final this afternoon

Excellent run of form

United’s 1-0 victory over Saint-Etienne on Wednesday night means that they have lost just one of their last 25 games in all competitions.

Their only defeat since going down 2-1 at Fenerbahce back on November 3 came away at Hull in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final last month, but it wasn’t enough to dispose them of a place in today’s final.

Other than that, Mourinho’s men have won 18 of those 25 matches, including their last five in a row, and have only failed to score once in that time, when they drew 0-0 at home to Hull in the Premier League at the start of February.

With just one defeat in domestic football since October, United are on an excellent run of form, and will certainly take some stopping at Wembley this afternoon.
