Hugely creative

Christian Eriksen was second only to Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil in the assists table last season and, alongside the other creative options, Spurs should always carry an attacking threat.

England’s Dele Alli was outstanding last season, with his ten goals and nine assists integral to Spurs’ title challenge, while Erik Lamela also had an improved season, netting five times and laying on nine assists for his teammates.

Son Heung-min has started the season well, and with the full-backs Walker and Rose always looking to push forward and get crosses in, Spurs are going to create several chances per game, it’s just a case of putting them in the back of the net.

The main concern thus far will be the lack of goals they’ve scored, certainly in Harry Kane’s absence, but you sense that as soon as summer signing Vincent Janssen gets one from open-play, he’ll go on and net a few.

They can’t continuously rely on Kane to win them matches but, with the creative talent behind him, there should be more than enough goals in that team to take Spurs to the title.
