Tottenham and England first choice left-back Danny Rose was absent for the semi-final after sustaining a serious knee ligament injury back in January.

His omission meant the South Korean international forward Heung-min Son was forced to play as a left-wing back.

He struggled during the game and it was surprising to see Ben Davies left on the bench, as in recent weeks he has performed very well in this position.

Luckily for Spurs, Rose is set to return for this Saturday’s North London derby against Arsenal, with every game for Tottenham slowly becoming a must win fixture.
