3 top targets Southampton can spend the Chinese money on this summer

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly ready to leave the Emirates this summer after failing to regularly nail down a spot in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven.

The England star has made 23 appearances in the Premier League this season, but only 12 of those have been starts, and although he has been a feature in the side over recent weeks, he reportedly does not want to extend his contract at the club, which is set to expire in 2018.

Thus, interest has been mounting about who could move for the 23-year-old, and although Southampton haven’t been one side linked with him yet, they have been in the past, and their prior links with Oxlade-Chamberlain could persuade the midfielder to return to St Mary’s.

It was from Southampton where Oxlade-Chamberlain made the move to the Emirates back in 2011, and it could be there where he tries to reinvigorate his career after a tricky few years at Arsenal.
