The defeat for the League One side ends caretaker manager Brown’s unbeaten run since the end of December.

Despite fielding a full strength side; Vale did not have much of the ball and struggled for the majority of the game.

Brown became caretaker manager after previous boss Bruno Ribeiro resigned on Boxing Day.

Port Vale are currently 15th in the League One table and they are only nine points clear of relegation.

Brown’s side will be hoping to bounce back with a good result in their next league fixture against Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.
