5 things you (probably) didn’t know about Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus

Winner of Bola de Ouro award in 2016

The 19-year-old won the Bola de Ouro award in 2016, which is awarded to the player which receives the highest season rating of anyone in the Brazilian top-flight, the Campeonato Brasiliero.

The ratings, which are provided by a group of sports journalists, saw Jesus come out on top last year, given that he scored 12 goals in 27 games for Palmeiras, helping them win their ninth Brazilian title, but their first since 1994.

And, given the start he has made at City, further accolades could be headed the forward’s way during his stay in Manchester.
