5 things you (probably) didn’t know about Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus

Netted twice in Brazil’s Olympic Gold triumph in Rio

Jesus has won the league title and domestic cup competition with Palmeiras, but they are unlikely to top what he achieved with his country at last year’s Olympic games in Rio.

The 19-year-old was part of the team that won an historic gold medal at their home games, netting in their 4-0 group stage win over Denmark, and then scoring twice in their 6-0 thrashing of Honduras in the semi-finals.

Jesus then started the final against Germany, and although he was withdrawn five minutes into extra-time, he was on the side watching his compatriots secure a 5-4 victory on penalties, with good friend Neymar firing home the winning spot-kick.
