Italian giants AC Milan have reportedly made Premier League striker Graziano Pelle a summer transfer target, according to the Daily Star.
The Southampton hitman, who arrived at St Mary’s Stadium from Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord for a reported fee of £8m back in July 2014, is thought to be feeling homesick and could welcome a return to his home country following the conclusion of the 2015-16 campaign.
The 30-year-old, who has ten international caps and is expected to be included in Italy’s squad for the 2016 UEFA European Championships in France later this year, has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Saints so far this season.
Pelle, who finished as the club’s top goalscorer last term with 16 strikes to his name, has become unsettled down on the south coast since manager Ronald Koeman recruited fellow frontman Charlie Austin for £4m during the January transfer window from Queens Park Rangers.
The Italian hitman has entered the final 18 months of his contract with Southampton and is yet to be offered a new deal.
