Arsenal and Chelsea are set to go head-to-head in a bid to sign Spain international forward Alvaro Morata this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.

The Premier League duo, who finished second and tenth in the English top-flight standings during the recent 2015/16 campaign, have both been continually linked with a move for the Real Madrid striker.

The 23-year-old, who has 13 international caps for his country and featured for Spain at EURO 2016 this summer, scored 12 goals and provided a further 12 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions for Juventus last season.

Morata, who has recently re-joined Madrid from the Serie A giants after the La Liga outfit activated his £23m buy-out clause, is now set to be offloaded by manager Zinedine Zidane – with the club hoping to make a healthy profit.

However the report suggests that both Premier League clubs are unwilling to meet the Spanish side’s £57m asking price.

Arsenal are keen on Morata’s services after England international Jamie Vardy turned down a move to the Emirates Stadium last month, meanwhile incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was the man who convinced the striker to join Juve from Madrid two years ago.

Morata is good, but the premiership will be too Hard for him to excel, he will fail like other spanish strikers, also i dont see him doing beta than Costa, and his price is too high, and his scoring rate is low for a striker. Gonzalo Higuain is better.
