Arsenal have reportedly joined rivals Everton in a bid to sign Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League side, who currently sit third in the English top-flight standings respectively, but 11 points adrift of surprise league leaders Leicester City with a game in hand, have identified the Dynamo Kiev winger as a transfer target come the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 26-year-old, who 57 international caps for his country and is expected to star the Ukraine at Euro 2016 in France later this year, has scored an impressive 15 goals and provided nine assists in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Premier Liga outfit so far this season.

Yarmolenko, who scored his country’s winning goal against Wales in an international friendly on Monday night, is rated at around £25m.

Everton have been linked with moves for the Ukrainian forward in the past two transfer windows, but the report now suggests that Arsenal are ready to step in and try and clinch this marquee signing before the Toffees act.
