Arsenal and Manchester United are both reportedly interested in signing Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure, according to Sky Sports.

The Premier League duo, who finished second and fifth in the English top-flight standings last term, could offer the central midfielder an option to stay in England if he decides to leave Manchester City.

The 33-year-old, who has 100 international caps for his country, has featured just once this season under new Citizens boss Pep Guardiola – playing the full 90 minutes in his side’s 1-0 victory over Steaua Bucharest in their Champions League qualifying play-off second-leg.

Toure, who joined City from La Liga giants FC Barcelona back in 2010, is deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium after being left out of the club’s 21-man Champions League squad going forward this campaign.

However the report suggests that the Ivorian’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, admits a future move to Premier League rivals Arsenal or Manchester United would be “impossible”, but also revealed Toure has already had offers from China, Turkey, Italy and the United States.
