Arsenal began their EFL Cup campaign on Tuesday night with a comprehensive 4-0 win and Championship side, Nottingham Forest.

Manager Arsene Wenger made a host of changes to his side, restoring both Granit Xhaka and Lucas Perez to the starting XI.

The summer signings both made strong cases to start when the Gunners face Chelsea on Saturday, with the Swiss midfielder scoring from another long range effort, whilst Perez opened his Arsenal account with a brace.

For now it’s over to Mr. Wenger as to whether or not he will keep his place when Premier League football returns on Saturday, with Antonio Conte and Chelsea making the short trip to North London.
