Arsenal are reportedly in pole position to land the ‘next Anthony Martial’, according to L’Equipe (via Get French Football News).

The Premier League giants, who suffered a 1-0 home defeat to the hands of defending league champions Chelsea on Sunday, are interested in signing Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.

The 17-year-old, who is a France Under-17 international, has made six first-team appearances during his breakthrough season with the Ligue 1 club this term.

Mbappe; who is also being monitored by the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, is out of contract this summer after failing to agree an extension with Monaco.

According to their national publication L’Equipe, Arsenal’s French scout Gilles Grimandi was present to watch the youngster star against Evian last week.
