Arsenal are reportedly tipped to make a £13m bid for Nigeria forward Umar Sadiq this summer, according to The Sun (via Gib Football Show).

The Premier League side, who currently sit third in the English top-flight standings, but 11 points adrift of league leaders Leicester City with only eight games remaining despite defeating Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park last weekend, are interested in snapping up the highly-rated Spezia Calcio striker.

The 19-year-old, who is currently on loan at Italian giants AS Roma for the season, has scored two goals in six first-team appearances for the Serie A outfit so far this term.

Sadiq, who is also attracting interest from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, scored a record-breaking 24 goals in 26 games in the Italian youth league which has alerted Europe’s elite to his raw talent.

The 6ft 6in forward left Spezia for Roma on a season-long loan deal, with the option to purchase Sadiq outright for a reported €2.5m this summer.

We have all noticed how Wenger prefers to buy cheap young players. If he ever buys mature players they are of a certain type. They are not aggressive nor are they leaders. I say this is because there is only man allowed to be the leader … that is Wenger. As Manu Petit has said since leaving …. Arsene does not like a shadow cast over him.
