Arsenal have been told that they must pay £7million if they want to sign Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding, according to the Sunday Express.

The Gunners have already had a £750,000 bid for the 20-year-old rejected, with the Trotters demanding almost ten times that offer if they are to consider letting the England Under-21 international leave the club, despite the fact that he only has one year left on his contract at the Macron Stadium.

Even though they suffered relegation from the Championship to League One, Holding impressed at the centre of Wanderers’ defence in a difficult 2015/16 campaign, winning the club’s Player of the Year award, but it is understood that he isn’t keen to play in the third tier of English football next term.

Holding, who is currently away on international duty with Gareth Southgate’s young Three Lions’ side in Toulon, is also said to be interesting Premier League duo Everton and Bournemouth.
