Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is happy to stay at the club this season, according to reports.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a move to D.C. United and boss Unai Emery has suggested more players will leave the Emirates before the end of the month.

However, Goal report that the German is not looking for a transfer and is happy with life at the North London club.

It’s claimed the Gunners are looking to get the playmaker, who earns a club-high £350,000-per-week, off their wage bill.

Mesut Ozil has been linked with a move away from Arsenal.

And with the transfer window still open in many countries there’s still an opportunity for the number 10 to seal a switch abroad.

MLS outfit D.C. United are thought to be interested in taking the 2014 World Cup winner as a replacement for Wayne Rooney, who will join Derby County as a player-coach in January.

But it’s claimed that Ozil, who has been named as one of Arsenal’s captains this season, is simply not interested in moving.

Since signing from Real Madrid for £42.5million in 2013, the creative midfielder has played 231 matches for the Gunners.
