Arsenal are reportedly set to launch a £10million bid for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to the Mirror via the Sun.

The France international, who captained the Magpies in the final few games of a season that ultimately ended in a disappointing relegation to the Championship, looks set to leave St James’ Park this summer as he looks to avoid playing in England’s second tier, and could be available for a cut-price fee.

That news has attracted the attention of Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who is a long-term fan of the 26-year-old, with rumours continuing to circulate that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott could depart the Emirates, and with fellow attacker Danny Welbeck ruled out for nine months with a knee injury.

Sissoko, who will be lining up for his country at this summer’s European Championships in his home nation, has made 132 appearances in all competitions since moving to Newcastle from Toulouse in 2012, scoring 12 goals.

That will be a welcome signing. An international player , very tall and strong. He is good in both defending and attacking in the midfield. He is used and experienced in playing in the premier league and international level and for around Ten million pounds he will be one of the best signing ( good value for money ) >
