Arsenal are reportedly ready to make £2m-rated Nimes striker Anthony Koura their first signing of the summer, according to France Football via the Sun.

The 22-year-old plies his trade in Ligue 2 and has scored nine goals for the French club this season, although he is currently sidelined with a spine injury.

However, the former France Under-19 international has caught the eye of a number of clubs with his direct performances, including Arsene Wenger’s former team AS Monaco, and the Gunners’ Premier League rivals, Newcastle, Sunderland and Stoke City.

The Frenchman is keen to tie up a deal for the attacker as soon as possible as he looks to strengthen a squad that has struggled this term.

The Gunners currently trail the Premier League leaders Leicester City by 11 points, while they were knocked out of both the FA Cup and the Champions League in the last week by Watford and Barcelona respectively.

Well let’s hope he is better than Wenger’s last young French striker – Sanogo.

If the gunners/Wenger goes ahead and buy this guy,its no wonder Arsenal are 2nd rate. If Wenger is serious about making Arsenal strong and capable of winning the cl,he shd for quality strikers ie Suarez type.
No wonder Barcelona are favourites for the cl. They have 3 wc strikers.
