France international defender Laurent Koscielny has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for FC Bayern Munich, according to the London Evening Standard.

The Bundesliga giants, who claimed their 26th German title last term after finishing ten points ahead of runners-up Borussia Dortmund in the top-flight division, are understood to be keen on a potential deal for the Arsenal centre-half ahead of the upcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 30-year-old, who has 35 international caps for his country and has helped France reach the final of EURO 2016 on Sunday, scored four goals in 44 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners last season.

Koscielny, who starred for Arsenal last season as they pipped North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to second spot in the Premier League on the final day of the 2015/16 term, is understood to have been monitored by Bayern since 2014.

The report suggests that new boss Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Medhi Benatia, who could leave the Allianz Arena this summer due to a lack of first-team opportunities.
