Although West Ham haven’t been the side they were last season in the current campaign, they were absolutely no match for an Alexis Sanchez-inspired Arsenal earlier this month.

The Chilean international netted a wonderful hat-trick alongside strikes from Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to secure a crushing 5-1 victory over the Hammers on Arsenal’s first visit to the London Stadium.

Sanchez’s third goal, where he sold goalkeeper Darren Randolph a dummy before chipping it over the Irishman, was the pick of the bunch, with the only blot for Wenger’s side the goal scored by Andy Carroll seven minutes from time.

Nonetheless, it was an impressive and much-needed win for the Gunners, as they remained three points behind Chelsea following their 3-1 win at Manchester City earlier in the day.
