The England international has seen his playing time dwindle significantly over the last couple of seasons, making just 15 Premier League appearances for the Gunners last season, and will be desperate to show manager, Arsene Wenger, that he still has what it takes to be a first team regular.

Since breaking into the first team, Gibbs has made over 200 appearances for the London based club, winning two FA Cups and a Community Shield, but has been ousted from the starting XI by Spaniard, Nacho Monreal.
