West Ham travel to Manchester United for the second time in four days on Wednesday, this time though for a League Cup quarter-final clash.

Slaven Bilic’s side held the Red Devils to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Sunday, a result which moved them up a place to 16th in the table.

The deserved point from an encouraging performance will please West Ham fans who haven’t had much to cheer so far this season, with their side recording just three league victories from their first 13 games.

However, ever since Bilic implemented a back three against Crystal Palace last month, West Ham have looked more solid and carry a greater goal threat, and in Dimitri Payet, they have one of the most talented players in the top-flight.

They turn their attentions to the League Cup this week though, and they’ll look to back up last round’s impressive 2-1 win over Chelsea with victory at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Hammers have never won the League Cup, but they could take a massive step towards finally lifting the trophy by getting the better of Jose Mourinho’s United tomorrow evening.

With an important home game against Arsenal on Saturday, Bilic may make a few changes to his starting eleven against United, so here are THREE players who deserve a chance on Wednesday…
