It will reportedly cost any potential suitors £30m this summer to prise Jamie Vardy away from surprise Premier League title favourites Leicester City, according to The Times.

The 29-year-old, who has four international caps for England and is expected to be included in Three Lions’ boss Roy Hodgson’s squad for the 2016 UEFA European Championships in France this summer, is the English top-flight’s top goalscorer so far this season.

Vardy, who joined the Foxes for a reported £1m back in May 2012 from then non-league outfit Fleetwood Town, has scored a sensational 19 goals and provided six assists in 29 league appearances to fire the Foxes five points clear at the top of the table with only nine games remaining.

With Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United interested in the former Stocksbridge Park Steels striker, Claudio Ranieri’s side have inserted a £30m buy-out clause into Vardy’s recently signed new three-and-a-half-year contract worth £80,000-a-week in a bid to fend off his long list of admirers.
