Chelsea and Manchester United have seemingly been handed a boost in their reported pursuits of Bosnia and Herzegovina international Miralem Pjanic, according to the Metro.

The Premier League duo, who currently sit sixth and tenth in the standings respectively with only eight games remaining of the 2015-16 campaign, have both been linked with summer moves for the AS Roma midfielder.

The 25-year-old, who has 66 international caps for his country, has scored an impressive 11 goals and provided a further 11 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Pjanic, who joined the Italian club from French side Lyon back in August 2011, is also said to be attracting interest from European giants FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern Munich.

However fellow potential suitors Chelsea and United will be happy to hear Pjanic say after Bosnia’s 3-0 win in Luxembourg on Friday, “In football it’s normal to hear rumours in the media, so I’m accustomed to it and have learnt to live with this situation.

“If a club is really interested, you can reach an agreement easily and quickly.”
