Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu in order to replace Brazilian midfielder Oscar, according to reports from Turkish outlet Haber Turk.

The Turkey international has reportedly been given the go-ahead to make the move to West London by his national manager Fatih Terim, who he told about the move over the last international break.

Oscar, who has been a victim of the Blues successful switch to a 3-4-3 system which has seen them win five on the trot in the Premier League, has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in January, with Inter Milan interested.

With the former Juventus boss having supposedly given the Brazil international his blessing to leave the club, a move for the Leverkusen man could well be on the cards.

The 22-year-old has been a mainstay for the Bundesliga outfit since arriving from Hamburg in 2014, scoring 24 goals and creating a further 24 in 105 appearances, and has the versatility to slot into various roles in Conte’s system at Chelsea.
