Chelsea are said to be eager to seal a summer deal for £80m-rated France international superstar Paul Pogba, according to Tuttosport (via The Daily Star).

The defending Premier League champions, who currently sit 12th in the standings following their most recent 5-1 league win over Newcastle United, are believed to have already started work on trying to tempt the powerful central midfielder to Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2015/16 campaign from Juventus.

The 22-year-old, who has 27 international caps for his country ahead of this summer’s UEFA European Championships, has scored six goals and provided nine assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for the defending Serie A champions this season.

The Blues failed in their attempts to lure Pogba back to the Premier League last summer, after the Frenchman left English top-flight rivals Manchester United for Turin back in 2012.

The report suggests Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has ordered his staff to work on a deal to recruit Pogba at the end of this season.

Juventus value their prized asset at around the £80m mark; although the likes of Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are also all interested in Pogba’s services.
