Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to Gazzetta World.

The Blues have long been linked with a move for the Brazil international, and it appears unlikely that his future lies within the Italian capital following a recent change of agent – he is now represented by Giuliano Bertolucci.

Bertolucci is a close friend of Iranian agent, Kia Joorabchian, who has close links with the west London outfit, and the Italian is said to be working hard on getting his new 23-year-old client a move to the Premier League this summer.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen to strengthen a squad that finished in a disappointing 10th position in the English top-flight last term, and has already brought in Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.

Anderson, who was the subject of a substantial bid from Manchester United last summer, scored nine goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for Lazio last term.
