Rangers are reportedly interested in taking Chelsea’s John Swift on loan.

The Scottish Championship outfit are in the market for another loan player following the double signing of Tottenham’s Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball last week, with the Blues midfielder their number one target.

The 20-year-old, who has six caps for the England Under-20 side, scored three goals in 24 appearances in all competitions whilst out on loan at Rotherham United and Swindon Town respectively last season.

The Portsmouth-born youngster, who is able to play in the centre of the park or on the right wing, has already made a first-team appearance for Jose Mourinho’s Blues after replacing Eden Hazard in their 2-1 win at Cardiff City back in May 2014.

Highly-regarded by the Premier League outfit, Chelsea are thought to be keen on loaning out Swift once again to gain more first-team experience this term, with Rangers boss Mark Warburton eager to capture his man.
