Fiorentina full-back, Marcos Alonso is currently undergoing a medical with Chelsea ahead of a Deadline Day move, according to Sky Sports News heavyweight, Jim White.

Blues boss, Antonio Conte, has been keen to bolster his defensive ranks all summer and has been in the market for a left-back since letting 22-year-old, Baba Rahman join Bundesliga side, Schalke on loan.

The former Bolton man will reportedly cost the London side in the region of £23m and could follow striker, Michy Batshuayi and midfielder N’Golo Kante through the doors at Stamford Bridge.

The 25-year-old, who can also be deployed on the left wing if need be, made 31 appearance in Serie A last season, and even managed three goals along the way.

The Real Madrid academy graduate may not be the only addition to Conte’s side on Deadline Day, with reports suggesting that the former Juventus manager is considering a shock move to bring Paris Saint Germain defender, David Luiz, back to the club for a fee of a around £32m, having left for £50m in 2014.
