Willian has been one of Chelsea’s most influential players this season.

Nothing can be said about this Chelsea season so far that hasn’t been said before, so let’s focus on one of the highlights – Willian.

While some of his higher-profile team-mates, such as Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas, have struggled to find any form this season, especially earlier in the campaign under Jose Mourinho, the Brazilian has been brilliant for the Blues.

The 27-year-old made 36 Premier League appearances last term, scoring two goals and picking up three assists, but in just 21 outings this season, he has already beaten his goals tally by netting three, and matched his assists total, while making just two fewer key passes.

But it is his influence on the pitch that has been especially noticeable. The Brazil international has become a regular starter and his team-mates are now looking to him for inspiration, something that is different compared to the 2014/15 campaign.
