Belgium international ace Radja Nainggolan has reportedly turned down a £33m move to Chelsea this summer, according to the Express.

The Premier League side, who could only finish tenth in the English top-flight standings last term after a thoroughly disappointing defence of their 2014/15 league title, have been heavily linked with a swoop for the AS Roma midfielder.

The 28-year-old, who has 24 international caps for his country and starred for Belgium as the Red Devils reached the quarter-finals of EURO 2016, scored six goals and provided two assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit last season.

However Nainggolan, who joined Roma from Cagliari back in 2014, has stated that he is going nowhere during this summer’s transfer window.

After the Blues reportedly failed with a third bid of £33m for the Belgian star, according to the Daily Mail, the central midfielder told Gazzetta World, “Everything is calm with (Roma’s director of football) Sabatini.

“Will I stay at Roma? Yes, I’m going to remain here.”
