FC Barcelona are reportedly interested in making Belgium international Thibaut Courtois their new number one goalkeeper this summer, according to TransferMarketWeb (via the Daily Star).

The La Liga giants are thought to be interested in offloading Germany shot stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and replacing him with Chelsea’s highly-rated ‘keeper ahead of the forthcoming 2016-17 campaign.

The 23-year-old, who has 33 international caps for his country and is set to star for Belgium at Euro 2016 in France later this year, has managed to keep just five clean sheets in 26 appearances in all competitions for the Blues so far this season.

Courtois, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Genk back in July 2011 for a reported fee of around €9m, is wanted by Barca boss Luis Enrique as his number one shot stopper.

Chelsea have already slapped a staggering £73m price tag on the Belgian star following previous interest from Spanish rivals Real Madrid last summer, who are set to reignite their pursuit later this year again.
