Conte should drop these 3 Chelsea players against Liverpool

Michy Batshuayi

Arguably, Chelsea fans would have left Saturday’s game wanting a little bit more from their summer signing.

Having joined the club for a reported £33.2m back in July from Anderlecht, the Belgium international has scored seven goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for The Blues.

The 23-year-old, who largely plays second fiddle to Diego Costa in Conte’s Premier League priorities, has netted just once in the top-flight this term.

Despite scoring against Brentford in the FA Cup, albeit it from the penalty spot, and setting up Pedro’s strike, Batshuayi still looks unconvincing as a strong understudy to Costa as Chelsea lead the Premier League title race.

Given that Costa has 15 goals in 20 league games this campaign, it is almost a certainly the Spaniard will be recalled to the front line, bar last minute injury.
