Williams has provided one assists in eight Championships outings whilst on loan at MK Dons.

A handful of Eagles players were able to temporarily escape Crystal Palace’s free-falling Premier League form and forget about a potential end of season relegation battle during the international break, although it was a player that is already playing away from Selhurst Park that proved to stand out the most.

Jonathan Williams featured in both of Wales’ international friendlies against Northern Ireland and Ukraine over the Easter period.

The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan with Championship outfit Milton Keynes Dons, came on as a substitute during Chris Coleman’s side’s opening 1-1 draw against fellow Euro 2016 qualifiers Northern Ireland, featuring for 28 minutes as striker Simon Church’s 89th minute earned them a late stalemate.

But the central midfielder earned his 11th international cap for Wales by starting Monday night’s encounter in Kiev, where the visitors eventually lost out 1-0 thanks to Andriy Yarmolenko’s first-half effort.

Fellow Palace teammates Wayne Hennessey and Joe Ledley also featured in both international friendlies.
