Nottingham Forest forward Michail Antonio is reportedly the subject of a bid from rivals Derby County.

It is thought that the club’s East Midland rivals had tabled £5m for the former Reading winger, with Rams boss Paul Clement eager to bolster his squad before the close of the transfer window.

The 25-year-old, who has enjoyed previous loan spells at Cheltenham Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton among others, scored 15 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions for Forest last season.

Despite Derby already acquiring the likes of Tom Ince and Andreas Weimann this summer, the Rams have lodged an audacious bid for Dougie Freedman’s side’s prized asset, although Premier League outfit West Brom have also been linked with the forward.
