West Ham United star Dimitri Payet has refused to rule out a return to Marseille, according RMC Sport.
The Premier League side, who have recorded back-to-back 1-0 top-flight victories over Burnley and Hull City respectively to climb up to 13th in the table heading into Christmas, are poised to receive interest in their influential central midfielder.
The 29-year-old, who has 32 international caps for France, has scored three goals and provided seven assists in 18 appearances in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s side so far this season.
Payet, who joined West Ham from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille back in June 2015 following his reported £10.7m move, is thought to be on the radar of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, although the player himself is interested in a return to the Stade Velodrome.
He told RMC Sport, “Marseille have a new project which seems interesting.
“Aside from that, we are obviously waiting to see the first few things that the new owners do, but Marseille knows how attached I am to the club.
“When I talk about it, I say the best possible things, because that is what I think, so why not.”
