Everton have reportedly joined Leicester City and Southampton in the race to sign £8 million-rated Braga midfielder Rafa Silva, according to the Sun.

The 23-year-old is understood to be in demand this summer from the Premier League trio following some impressive performances in the Portuguese league, as well as being a part of the 23-man Portugal squad that was victorious at Euro 2016, although he didn’t feature after his nation’s 0-0 draw against Austria in the group stages.

New Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is yet to bring in a player since taking the reins in June, and is looking for a forward who can operate in the number 10 role, or out wide, something that Silva is capable of.

Leicester and Saints are also looking for attacking reinforcements ahead of their respective European campaigns next term and could move for Silva, who scored 12 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions for his club team last season, as well as picking up eight assists.

  1. It doesn’t matter who Southampton fc go for in the transfer market. You always find that Everton, West Ham, or Leicester City are going for them aswell just to stop Southampton fc from getting the players and signing the players up.
