The first Merseyside derby of the season comes our way on Monday night as Ronald Koeman looks for another scalp in his first experience of the clash.

The former Southampton manager continued his impressive record against Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger (two losses in 12 games) on Tuesday night as his side came from 1-0 down to take all three points, with goals from Seamus Coleman and Ashley Williams sealing a memorable 2-1 win.

Meanwhile, their rivals from across Stanley Park, Liverpool, continued their free-scoring run as a brace from Adam Lallana either side of a Divock Origi goal gave Jurgen Klopp a comfortable 3-0 win at Middlesbrough, a result which took the red half of Merseyside to second in the table, whilst Everton dropped to 8th.

Both sides have had their issues this term, Everton started brightly under the tutelage of the Dutchman, but have struggled in recent weeks, whilst Klopp’s side remain leaky at the back despite their sharp attack.

However, could the creme of both sides combine and create  a formidable force? Take a look at Shoot!’s combined Merseyside XI…
