Gerard Deulofeu made history for Spain this week by appearing in their Under-21 qualification play-off against Austria.

Not only did the second leg see him win his 32nd cap for the side, the most of anyone in Spanish history, but his goal in the first leg, as well as securing them victory as that away goal proved to be the difference following a 0-0 draw in the second leg, was his 16th for the Under-21s, another record.

It’s a phenomenal effort from the Everton man, who is surely going to add to his solitary senior cap in the near future.
